All Point of Sale payment performance is back to normal. We'll continue to keep a close eye on this issue—if you encounter any trouble accepting a chip or contactless payment, you should be able to proceed with the swipe option.
Thank you for being patient as we worked on a resolution. We’ll return with another update as soon as we've confirmed that the root cause of this issue is fully resolved.

Our Engineers identified the root cause of the payment capture issues and we’re beginning to see performance return to normal. We'll be back with a progress update as more information becomes available. Very sorry for the disruption.

We're actively investigating reports of payments not being captured in Square Point of Sale. We'll be back with an update as soon as possible.
